Procedure: 1) Heat butter in large skillet over medium-low heat, ad the onion and sautee for 20 minutes until tender and caramelized. 2) Place into a bowl to cool. 3) IN a large bowl, add the ground beef, egg, and cooled onion, salt and pepper to taste. 4) Divide beef mixture into four equal parts and shape into patties. 5) Heat large skillet to high, place patties into skillet and cook five minutes each side to desired temperature—medium is to 155 degrees. 6) Spread each bun or roll generously with dressing. 7) Place a cooked hamburger patty on each bun or roll.
